Wrilma Curtis

Wrilma Lenoir Curtis, age 86, of Yankton, South Dakota, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall, South Dakota. Family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton. Wrilma was born in Arkansas on August 8, 1933 to Loy Wright and Rowena Haddock. She married Warren Curtis with whom she raised three children: Robert, Rowena and Samuel in Arkansas and California. An avid sewer, Wrilma created her children’s clothes when they were young and her own later, cutting a stylish figure in her job as a medical coder. Wrilma was also a wonderful cook, delighting her children, grandchildren and other family members as they gathered around the table. She is survived by daughter, Rowena McClure; son, Samuel Curtis; brother, Keith Wright; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren; son, Robert; sisters, Shirley and Wilkie; and brothers, Arnold, Gaylen and Elvin.
