Walter Cyrankowski

Walter Cyrankowski, age 75, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.

A memorial gathering will be 1:00 PM on August 7, 2024, at the Sir Charles Community Room at 120 East 3rd Street in Yankton, South Dakota. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton, South Dakota.

Walter Cyrankowski was born in Buffalo, New York and has resided in Yankton South Dakota, since 1994. He will be greatly missed by his IMPACT family. Walter has had a connection with the Human Services Center in Yankton since 1994. He started vocational rehabilitation as a general clerical worker and later when the Yankton Rehabilitation Program started a vending program at the South Dakota Human Services Center, he worked to maintain the machines and general inventories for the program. He continued performing this job until it was discontinued. Since that time, he has been employed with HSC’s recycling program as “the shredder guy”. He will be dearly missed by all HSC staff, IMPACT staff and his friends at Sir Charles Apartments where he lived.
