Terry Lee Graf, age 70 of Laurel, Nebraska died on Monday, April 09, 2018 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Laurel, Nebraska with the Rev. Dr. Dave York officiating. Burial will be at the Belden cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday, at church, from 5-7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge, NE.
Pallbearers will be Greg Lackas, Denny Morgan, Lyle Van Cleave, Michael Hoeppner, Brian Hoeppner, and Justin Hoeppner. Honorary pallbearers will be Terry’s grandchildren and great granddaughter.
Terry Lee Graf was born on July 13, 1947 in Wayne, Nebraska to Kermit and Lois (Lubberstedt) Graf. He graduated from Belden High School in 1965. Terry married Kay Arp in 1966 and they had three children. On April 30, 1982 Terry married Betty (Mann) Carr. Blending their families together they had five children Patricia Graf, Scott Carr, Rodney Graf, James Graf, and Lisa Carr. Terry worked for Fredrickson Oil in Wayne before moving to Plainview to start his own business – Plainview “66” Service. He sold cars for 40 years working for Watson Motors in Plainview, Kersten Auto in Bloomfield, Mike Perry Chevrolet of Wayne, Arnies Ford & Mercury in Wayne, Jenny’s Chevrolet in Norfolk, Shaffer’s Chevrolet in Norfolk, and retiring from Pearson Motor Company in Hartington in 2012.
For many years Terry owned a 1971 Chevelle SS that he took to many car shows. He also got pleasure from working in his yard and garden.
He is survived by his wife Betty of Laurel; three children Patricia Graf and Scott Sorensen of Fremont, NE, Scott & Coleen Carr of Columbia, SC; Lisa (Carr) and husband Steve Hansen of Laurel; daughter-in-law Melissa Graf of Laurel; four grandchildren Ashley Whitehead, Morgan Hansen, Logan Hansen, and Baylie Graf; great granddaughter Aleeyah Whitehead.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents Kermit and Lois Graf; two sons Rodney and Jim Graf.
