Teresa L. Noecker, age 90 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Saturday, October 27, 2018 at the Hartington Care and Rehabilitation Center in Hartington, Nebraska. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Friday, November 9th at church, from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington, NE. www.wintzrayfuneralhome.com. Pallbearers are Tony Noecker, Josh Marron, Jerod Hoesing, Eric Noecker, Luke Frohreich, Brett Noecker and Colton Frohreich. Honorary Pallbearers are Teresa’s Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Teresa Lucille McFadden was born on April 19, 1928 in Hartington, Nebraska to Charles M and Edna M (Arnett) McFadden. She grew up and attended school in Hartington graduating from Holy Trinity Grade School in 1942 and Holy Trinity High School in 1946. After graduation Teresa moved to Omaha and worked for Mutual of Omaha. Upon returning to Hartington she worked for Dr. Paul Lammers as a dental assistant. On September 7, 1949 Teresa married Marvin George Noecker and they had seven children. Teresa’s family was her highest priority and as a mother she strived to be a good example to her children and always encouraged them to grow in their faith. She was a Mom who opened their home and yard to many neighborhood children and friends of her children. She always found time to prepare a meal or make homemade treats for them. Teresa spent many hours volunteering as Cub Scout, Brownie and Girl Scout Leader during this time. In 1968 Teresa went to work as a secretary for Nebraska Public Power in Hartington, retiring from there in 1988. After retirement Teresa & Marvin enjoyed traveling the country with family and friends. They spent many winters in South Padre Island, TX with dear friends. They also enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren taking them on many trips to see interesting sites or camping with them. Teresa volunteered numerous hours helping Marvin install lifelines in many homes in the area. She was a member of Community Caretakers and Hospice and spent time volunteering at the senior center, the nursing home and assisted living centers until becoming a resident of Hartington Care and Rehab in 2014. In her four years as a resident there she grew to love the staff and residents dearly and considered many of them her second family. Teresa was a member of Holy Trinity Parish. She and Marvin were original members of the Holy Trinity Perpetual Adoration holding an hour of adoration for over 50 years. After her children were grown Teresa taught CCD for many years. She was also involved in the Holy Trinity Guild, the Christian Mothers, Ministry of Praise and Prayer call line. She was also an active member of the North Central Deanery of Catholic Women holding various offices and serving on their board of directors. Teresa is survived by children Karen (Don) Hoesing of Hartington, NE; Ken Noecker of Ann Arbor, MI; Don (Colleen) Noecker of Yankton, SD; Roger (Nancy) Noecker of Champlin, MN; Kathy (David) Marron of Grand Island, NE; Connie (Robert) Frohreich of Yankton, SD; and Jonny Bauer of Scottsbluff, NE; 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren (number 12 due in February); sisters Irma O’Gara of Davenport, IA and Rita Lipinski, Shelton, WA; and brother-in-law Bernard Burbach, Norfolk, NE and sisters-in-law Doris Folkers of Hartington, Jan Noecker of Lincoln, NE and Lorna Noecker of Leon, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Marvin in 2013, son Robert 2017 and grandson Kurt Hoesing 1997; brothers George, Eugene, Phillip, and Joseph, and sisters Dorothy, Mary and Helen, plus many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
