Scott A. Lindquist, age 53, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his home in Yankton.

Celebration of Life will be Saturday November 2, 2024 from 2:00 to 6 PM at the club house at Spring Water RV Village, 3002 W. 8th (SD Hwy 52), Yankton South Dakota. Look for the yellow banners at the entrance of the RV Village. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.

Scott A. Lindquist was born July 23, 1971, in Osmond, Nebraska, to Roger H. and Shirley E. (Jensen) Lindquist. He grew up on the farm near Randolph, Nebraska and graduated from Hartington High School in 1989. He operated Auto Outlet, selling cars with his dad in Norfolk and then purchased the Red Rooster Bar in Randolph. While operating the bar, he also started selling cars for Northtown Automotive in Yankton. After selling the bar in Randolph he moved to Crofton, Nebraska and started Midwest Regional Agency for a time and then started Lakeside Fun Rentals out by Lewis & Clark Lake in Yankton, South Dakota. He also operated Lakeside Fun Rentals in Lake Havasu, Arizona for a few years.

Scott was a carefree, fun loving, free spirit who just wanted to enjoy life and share that with others. He enjoyed fishing, boating, being on the water, spending time outdoors, traveling, and riding motorcycles and side by sides. He loved entertaining people, cooking and watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers. He was a caring, generous, loyal friend who will be deeply missed.

Survivors include his faithful canine companion, Dude; beloved life partner, Jennifer Robinson of Yankton; four siblings: Konnie (Randy) Boughn of Schuyler, Nebraska; Tim (Cindy) Lindquist of Randolph, Nebraska; Bruce (Nancy) Lindquist of Humboldt, Iowa; and Tricia (Russ) Yosten of Clarkson, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sister, Anna Marie Lindquist and infant nephew.
