A memorial service for Saul Renteria, 20, will be 2:00 PM on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the memorial service on Thursday at the funeral home. Saul Ivan Renteria was born on October 4, 1997, in Brownsville, Texas to Javier Renteria and Maribel Barrera. He attended school at Los Fresnos United in San Benito, Texas. At the age of 17, Saul moved to Yankton, South Dakota to be with his mom. He worked at Cimpl’s and in construction while in Yankton. Hunting, fishing, and hanging with his family and friends were his favorite things to do. Saul could put a smile on anyone’s face and always offered help to people in need. In 2016, he met his love, Tori. They had their beautiful daughter, Mirabella Lynn, soon after. On August 18, 2018, Saul’s life was taken way too soon at the age of 20, in a tragic automobile accident. Saul is survived by his father, Javier Renteria, Texas; mother, Maribel Barrera, Yankton; two older brothers, Javier, Jr., Yankton, and Misael, Sioux Falls; Victoria Lammers and their precious Mirabella; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He left to be with his grandmother, Maria Inez Martin Renteria.
