Sadie Ann Kingery

Sadie Ann Kingery (Habeck), age 36, of Yankton, South Dakota passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

No formal services are planned for Sadie and a private celebration will take place at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz and Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.

Sadie was born on March 10, 1989 in Aberdeen, South Dakota. She grew up in Ellendale, Minnesota and later moved to Yankton. Sadie was very creative and loved drawing and painting. She had a love for music as well as a love for animals. She had a huge heart for others. Sadie was excited for this year’s Easter on the 20th which was the same in 2003 when she was baptized. Sadie faced significant struggles in life. Her perseverance in adversity was inspiring. As family, we learned the importance of resilience and the value of seeing the world from different perspectives. Sadie was headstrong and feared nothing. Her physical presence may no longer grace our lives but her spirit will continue to uplift us. May her memory be a blessing and we carry forth her legacy, love and compassion. Sadie’s light will forever shine brightly in our hearts.

Grateful for having shared Sadie’s life is her mom, Susie Habeck; siblings: Maggie Kingery (Tony), Emily Habeck (Cody), Jenni, Jeff, Tom and Kelly; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and more. A special thanks to Lori and Sadie’s caretakers.

Sadie was preceded in death by several other family members, relatives and friends.
