Porter Thomas Noecker

Porter Thomas Noecker, 6 year old son of Jesse and Marie Noecker of rural Hartington, Nebraska died as a result of a farm accident at their residence on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Owen Korte officiating.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s cemetery in Hartington.  Visitation will be on Tuesday, at church, from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday one hour prior to services at church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Pallbearers will be Beau Noecker, Riley Noecker, Tristan Sedlacek, Patrick Hoesing, Joe Noecker, and Todd Bottolfsen.  Honorary pallbearers will be Porter’s Kindergarten classmates. Porter Thomas was born on August 27, 2015 at Yankton, SD to Jesse Adam and Marie Ellis (Klein) Noecker.  He was currently in Kindergarten at Holy Trinity Elementary School in Hartington.  Porter was his dad’s right hand man on the farm as he loved to work and stay busy outside.  Porter was a great “big” brother to Easton (age 3) and he always looked up to his older brother Nolan (age 9).  He was very particular with his appearance and his clothes. He was very artistic and had a great smile, along with that special smirk for his grandmother’s.  Porter loved animals and always wanted to keep any new found animal as a pet.   He enjoyed the birdfeeder and watching the birds.  Porter just went to his first Nebraska Husker Football game last week and really liked the marching band along with powering down a lot of popcorn. He loved his cat “Roco”, camping, and his new bike.  He liked to wrestle and was a little daredevil. Porter is survived by his parents, Jesse and Marie of Hartington; two brothers Nolan and Easton; maternal grandparents Julie (Larry) Weigum of Hartington; paternal grandparents Dave (Shelly) Noecker of Hartington; great grandparents Larry(JoAnn) Driver of Wynot; great grandfather Tom Klein of Crete, NE; aunts and uncles Kristen Heimann of Omaha, Beau Noecker of Omaha, Riley Noecker of Omaha, Reggan Noecker and Tristan Sedlacek of Scotland, SD; great aunt Becky (James) Hunke of Crete, NE and their boys Adam, Isaac, and Nathaniel. He was preceded in death by his aunt Morgan Klein; maternal grandfather David Klein; great grandmother Judy Klein; maternal great grandparents Corrine (Carl) Weihe; paternal great grandparents Loran (MaryLou) Noecker. In Lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for Jesse and Marie at the Farmers and Merchants Bank in Hartington.  You may send your memorial donation to P.O.
