Norman C. Sieck, age 32 of Sioux Falls, SD, died on Monday, December 30, 2019 in Sioux Falls.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at 10:30 am at the United Lutheran Church in Laurel, NE with Pastor Matthew Quanbeck officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery in Concord, NE. Visitation will be on Friday, at church, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home of Laurel, NE.
Pallbearers will be Matt Stanley, Philip Nelson, Justin Detlefsen, Scot Surber, Mike Stanley, Steve Stanley, Travis Klanecky, Brett Klanecky, and Jamie Klanecky.
Honorary pallbearers will be Norman’s brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Norman Christopher Sieck was born on December 20, 1987 in Omaha, NE and adopted as an infant by Rev. Dr. Albert Sieck Jr. and Sandra Anderson. For the first five years of his life, Norman lived in Spencer, NE and St. Paul, NE. In 1993, when Norman was five years old, his parents and sister were killed in a car accident. Norman then moved to Dixon and was raised by Jerry and Alvina Stanley. He graduated from Laurel Concord High School in 2006 and then continued his education at South Dakota State University.
Norman lived in Sioux Falls, SD for the past ten years. He worked as a server and bartender at various restaurants and bars in Sioux Falls. He enjoyed socializing and could make friends wherever he went. Norman also enjoyed music, football, and spending time with family.
Norman is survived by his adopted parents, Jerry & Alvina Stanley of Concord, NE; siblings, Benjamin Sieck of Sioux City, IA, Matthew Sieck of Norfolk, NE, Peggy & Kirk Nelson of Pender, NE, Jeffrey & Amanda Stanley of Waddy, KY, Raymond & Kama Stanley of Dixon, NE, Laura & Dustin Showen of Dixon, NE, Charles Stanley and friend Emily Kramer of Concord, NE; grandmother Ardyce Stanley of Dixon, NE; 11 nieces and nephews, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Dr. Albert Sieck Jr. & Sandra Anderson; sister, Ruth Sieck; paternal grandparents, Albert & Eunice Sieck; maternal grandparents, Norman & Betty Anderson; and grandparents, Gerald & Angeline Stanley.
