Marjorie St. Pierre, age 91, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Monday, December 16, 2019, at the South Dakota Human Services Center in Yankton, South Dakota.
A memorial service will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2020, at Christ Episcopal Church in Yankton, South Dakota. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery in Rapid City, South Dakota at a later date.
Marjorie St. Pierre was born July 6, 1928, in Yankton, South Dakota to Delbert and Nellie (Kellner)Lyons. She grew up in Yankton and graduated from Yankton High School in 1946. She married Patrick St. Pierre in 1949 in Yankton and Marjorie began working at the bakery. She moved to Rapid City, South Dakota and worked at Ray’s Bakery, the Seventh Ave. Lounge and the Oasis Lounge.
Survivors include her six children: Ron St. Pierre of Eugene, Oregon; Connie (Jerry) Mehrer of Rapid City, South Dakota; Pat (Rosemary) St. Pierre of Rapid City; Sandy Hutchinson of Rapid City; Roger St. Pierre of Rapid City; and Daniel (Betsy) St. Pierre of Rapid City; 22 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Lenore; two brothers: Robert and Harvey Lyon; and son-in-law, Tom Hutchinson.
