Marjorie Alyce Novak, age 82 of Hartington, Nebraska, died in an automobile accident on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 on Highway 81 2 ½ miles north of Highway 12.
Funeral Services are on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington with Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services on Saturday. Burial of her cremated remains will be in St. Paul’s Cemetery in Hooper, Nebraska at a later date
Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, great grandchildren, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
Marjorie was born on October 24, 1936 in Oakland, Nebraska to Walter H. and Bertha J. (Schroeder) VonEssen. She grew up in Oakland, Nebraska and graduated from Oakland High School. She married Glenn Meyer and to this union Cindy and Michael were born. She married Adrian Novak and to this union Mitchel was born. Throughout her life she was a caregiver for several people in various cities in Iowa, Nebraska and Camdenton, Missouri. She has lived in Hartington since 2007.
Marjorie loved meeting her friends in Yankton for breakfast. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, home decorating and cooking. She loved being with people and especially enjoyed time with family and her grandkids.
Marjorie is survived by 3 children, Cindy and Rod Wiebelhaus of Fordyce, Ne; Michael and Chomphu Meyer of Thailand; Mitchel and Marti Novak of Glendale, AZ; 5 grandchildren, Wendy Pearson, April and James Pearson, Holly and Komsu Mamuya, Brooke and Ben Hochstein and Marshall Wiebelhaus, 11 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Rogers, Joey and Rachel Dallman, Corey and Stephanie Dallman, Seth and Michelle Dallman, 9 step great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Maxine Pfeiffer of Morris Bluffs, NE; Lois Von Seggern of Michigan.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers, Lloyd and Warren VonEssen.
