Marilyn Lynn Miller, age 67, of Mission Hill, South Dakota, died unexpectedly Sunday, August 4, 2024, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Friday, August 9, 2024, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota with Reverend Amanda Talley officiating. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton.
Marilyn Lynn Miller was born January 8, 1957, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Keith and Ruth (Sorenson) Addison. She grew up in Newcastle, Nebraska, and graduated from Newcastle High School in 1976. She then started working at Vishay Dale Electronics in Yankton, South Dakota and continued working there until her death. She married Steve Miller on June 1, 1985, in Yankton, South Dakota and together had one daughter, Kimberly.
Marilyn was a hardworking, independent, kind hearted woman who would do anything for anyone. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. Her laughter was contagious and she had a great sense of humor. She enjoyed cooking and visiting with her friends. She adored her grandchildren and loved all of the time she spent with them. She was an amazing mother, nana and friend.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Nick) Schmidt of Mission Hill, South Dakota; twin grandchildren: Maddison and Eli; her sister, Linda (Gary) Burns of Hartington, Nebraska and their children: Amy Nieuwsma and Brenda (Terry) Johanns.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Keith and Ruth Addison and husband, Steve Miller on February 7, 2004.
