Logan Alexander Brabec, age 25, of Columbus, Nebraska died as a result of a car accident near Tyndall, South Dakota on Tuesday, November 5, 2024.
A memorial service for Logan will be held in his hometown of Columbus at a later date. Local arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Yankton.
Logan was born February 22, 1999 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Eric Brabec and Amy (Westra) Boshears. He was raised by his mother and step-father, James in Virginia Beach, VA. As a young boy, he loved trains and planes, was active in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He learned how to play the cello when he was in the fourth grade. They moved to Tennessee in 2012 and Logan loved to go fishing. He would spend his summers in South Texas where he would enjoy fishing with his uncle. In 2017, Logan moved to Columbus, NE and finished his Junior and Senior year. Logan loved music and played the baritone in high school. After graduation, Logan moved back to Tennessee and started working for AutoZone. A few years later, he took a job at AutoZone back in Columbus. Logan loved history, especially World War II, watching Anime movies, reading Manga books and bike riding. His life was cut too short but he made a lasting impact on all who knew him.
Logan is survived by his mother, Amy Boshears of Aransas Pass, TX; step-father, James Boshears of Knoxville, TN; four brothers: Arin Martin, Cody, Matt and Drew Boshears; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
