Linda Mae “Litzie” Meier, age 59 of Belden, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge, Nebraska.
No local services are being planned at this time. The Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge is assisting with the arrangements.
Litzie was born on May 28, 1961 at Osmond, Nebraska to Linn W. and Corrine Ann (Stemper) Fiscus. She grew up in Coleridge and graduated from Coleridge High School in 1979. She began working as a Nurse Aide at the Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge and also worked at the Colonial Manor in Randolph and the nursing home in Wayne, Nebraska until she retired in 2007 due to some health issues. She married Bruce A. Meier on September 13, 1997 at the United Methodist Church in Laurel, Nebraska and they made their home in Belden for many years. She had been a resident of Park View Haven since December 13, 2016.
Litzie had a strong work ethic and when she wasn’t working at the nursing home she cleaned homes and also did a lot of mowing.
Litzie is survived by her husband, Bruce Meier of Belden, a step daughter, Amy Lynn and Jake Morris of DeWitt, IL; 6 siblings, Dan and Sharon Fiscus of Coleridge; Keith and Lynnel Fiscus of Coleridge; Donna and Mike Hansen of Coleridge; Mike and Janelle Fiscus of Coleridge; Bruce and Kathy Fiscus of Yankton, SD and Katie Neuhalfen of Laurel, NE.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Carol Fiscus, a nephew Cody Fiscus and a niece, Robyn Hansen.
