Kelly Johnson

Kelly G. Johnson age 50 of Coleridge, Nebraska died on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. Funeral services are being planned for a later date with burial of his cremated remains at the Hartington City Cemetery in Hartington, NE.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge, NE. Kelly Gene Johnson was born on November 15, 1971 in Yankton, SD to Elmer William and Charleen Fay (Provancha) Johnson.  He grew up in Hartington and graduated from Hartington High School in 1992.  He worked for Gurney Seed and Nursery in Yankton, SD in 2002.  Kelly also helped his dad for several years doing odd jobs, and delivering papers in Coleridge.  Kelly liked to build things with his hands, doing woodworking, building cabinets, tables, shelves, and bird houses to name a few.  Kelly also had knowledge about trees. Kelly is survived by his seven siblings, Elmer L. Johnson Jr. of Coleridge, Ann Elizabeth Johnson of Coleridge, Susan (Scott) Olson of Coleridge, Jay Johnson of Coleridge, Kenny and daughter Rya Johnson of Bloomfield, Mark Johnson of Bloomfield, Jerry Johnson of Bloomfield; and great nieces and nephews Emma, Zoey, Owen Jonnassen.
