Johnathan W. Kock age 42 of Belden, Nebraska died unexpectedly on Friday, August 9, 2024 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Funeral Services will be on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Concord, Nebraska with the Rev. Todd Thelen officiating.  Visitation will be on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the church.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Laurel.

Johnathan Wayne Kock was born on January 8, 1982 in Brush, Colorado to Wayne Carl and Deborah Lynn (Pavlik) Kock. John went to elementary school in Schuyler, NE and high school in Albion, NE. John would then work in Columbus. Later on working for Great Dane in Wayne, NE. John joined in marriage to Emily Katherine Votta on March 8, 2006 in Hartington, Nebraska and together had four daughters. The family resided in Belden, NE. John also enjoyed working at Hillcrest Care Center as the maintenance director in Laurel, NE. John worked most recently as a Environmental/Safety Coordinator at Prince Hydraulic Components since 2018. He also worked part-time at Campbell’s Service. 

 John for a time was a member of the Belden Volunteer Fire Department and in his last gift he gave the gift of life by being an organ and tissue donor. He enjoyed activities such as fishing and occasionally coon hunting with his close friend, Jody. John was a fan of Star Wars and Marvel movies. He also greatly enjoyed playing video games with his brothers, daughters, nieces, and nephews. John was very much a family man as he always made sure to attend his daughters’ events while embarrassing them at any chance he could get. John greatly enjoyed music and tried to attend many concerts with his wife, daughters, or anyone else he could convince to go. He was one that could easily make friends as he was kind-hearted and helpful to anyone he came in contact with. 

 John is survived by his wife Emily of Belden; his four daughters Izabella Kock of Wayne, Gabriella Kock of Wayne, Stella and Ambriella Kock of Belden; parents Wayne (Deborah) Kock of Cedar Rapids, NE; two brothers Justin Kock of Norfolk, NE, Joshua (Tonya) Kock of Norfolk; Emily’s father Richard (Suzanne) Votta of Fremont, NE; Emily’s mother Katherine (Terry) Cogdill of

Beverly Hills, Florida; Uncle Bruce (Janice) Kock of David City, NE; Uncle Russel Pavlik of Grand Island, NE; Uncle Mark Pavlik of Central City, NE; several brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews.

 He was preceded in death by his brother Jason Kock; brother-in-law Daniel Cogdill; two uncles David & Paul Kock; aunt Jennifer Pavlik; maternal grandparents Larry (Margene) Pavlik; paternal grandparents LaVern (Judith) Kock; and Cousin Zachary Pavlik.

 In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made out to the family for memorial donations to be yet determined.
