John O. Bicknell

John O. Bicknell, age 56 of Coleridge, Nebraska died on Monday, August 12, 2019 at his residence. Private family services will be held at a later date. The Wintz Funeral Home of Coleridge is assisting with arrangements. John Owen Bicknell was born on December 27, 1962 in Big Bear, California to Ronald Dewayne and Bernetta Ruby (Macklem) Bicknell. He grew up in Norco, California and began working as a Jr. Apprentice at the age of 13 years old for Summit Sheet Metal. He graduated from High School in California and then served in the U.S. Marines from 1980-1984.  John returned to work at Summit Sheet Metal and continued there until he moved to Kansas City, Missouri.  He wanted to be closer to his parents so he moved to Sioux City, Iowa.  He married Marjorie Ann Rolf on October 8, 1998 in Ponca, Nebraska.  John and Marjorie lived in Allen, NE, Belden, and then Coleridge since 2014. He worked varies jobs in each community. John liked to hunt and fish and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandsons. John is survived by his wife, Marjorie of Coleridge; four daughters Tracy (Maynard) Heck of Norfolk, Crystal (James) Morse of Crestline, CA, Lindsey (Jason) Montrie of Norco, CA, Melissa Bicknell of Riverside, CA; 15 grandchildren; two great grandsons; one sister Tonie (Stan) Procter of Huntington Beach, CA; one brother Darwin (Monique) Bicknell of Huntington Beach, CA; adopted brothers Tim, Bruce, Rico, Mick, Scott, Brian, Mike, Greg, Bobby, Mario, and Val; sister-in-law Jean Duerfeldt of Burke, SD; brother-in-law Ray (Kie) Rolf of Herrick, SD; and many more family and friends. John was preceded in death by his parents Ronald & Bernetta Bicknell; and a sister Roxanne Bicknell.
