Jacqueline Olson, age 82, of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospice in Yankton. Funeral services are 10:30 AM, on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton with Reverend David Wildermuth officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Friday, December 21 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton. Visitation continues one hour prior to the funeral at the church. Pallbearers are David Jensen, Jerry Jensen, Wayne Jensen, Butch Lukes, Michael Krause and Brian Paulsen. Honorary pallbearers are her granddaughters. Jacqueline Fern Olson was born January 1, 1936 in Parker, South Dakota to James and Alma (Quarg) Jensen. She grew up in Parker and moved to Yankton in the third grade. After her schooling, Jackie worked at Presto Café in Yankton. On May 3, 1958, she married Donald Olson at Trinity Lutheran Church in Yankton. After their marriage, Jackie worked at Sioux Radio and Stuelpnagel’s Egg Processing Plant for a few years. She then worked for Dale Electronics in Yankton until her retirement in March of 1997. Jackie was an active member and volunteer at Trinity Lutheran Church and the Yankton Senior Center. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, golf and tennis, doing puzzles, and feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. She was a loving mother who treasured her family and loved playing games with her grandchildren. Jackie is survived by her husband, Donald Olson of Yankton; two daughters, Pam (Rick) Stone of Yankton and Diane (Fred) Pick of Hartington, NE; two granddaughters, Karla (Michael) Krause of Brunswick, NE and Kelsy Pick of Yankton; one great granddaughter, Kinley Krause; two brothers, David Jensen of Blackhawk, SD and Gene Jensen of Yankton; one sister, Bonnie Whatling of Yankton; and many nieces and nephews. Jackie was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Debra and Donna Olson, one sister, Cleo Lukes; and four brothers, Keith, Lester, Jim and Dennis Jensen.
