Jackie Reeves was born February 20, 1951, in Topeka, Kansas, to Melvin and Donna (Adams) Reeves. She grew up all over the Midwest and graduated from Mondamin High School in Mondamin, Iowa in 1969. She then began working at Chris’s Rexall in Omaha, Nebraska and later for Walmart in Omaha. She moved to Yankton, South Dakota in 2014 and worked as a cashier at Walmart until her health forced her to retire in February 2024.
Jackie was an avid fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Yankees. She enjoyed watching football, Mickey Mouse, camping, fishing and especially loved traveling all of the United States with her nieces and nephews. She was always looking forward to the next trip and loved planning out where they would go next. Jackie was always involved in the lives of her niece, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. From ball games to birthdays, from brownies to football Sundays, to hours long phone calls, vacations and Christmases so big they could barely fit in the house. She was generous with her time and always made sure they felt loved.
Survivors include her father and step-mother, Melvin and Pam Reeves of Watertown, South Dakota; brother, Todd (Lisa) Reeves of Yankton, South Dakota; nieces and nephews: Lance (Medea), Aaron (Sarah), Ethan, Matt, Lynzee, and Jacob (Jen); and great nieces and nephews: Hayden, Elijah, Zander, Lucas, Ella, Norah, and Bronx.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Donna.
