Gordon Keith Bayne

Gordon Keith Bayne age 94 of Saint Paul, Minnesota and formerly White Bear died on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Lynoblomstein Care Center in Saint Paul, MN. Private graveside services will be on Tuesday, June 7, 2022  at the Coleridge City Cemetery in Coleridge, Nebraska with the arrangements under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge, Nebraska.

Gordon was born at home on a farm near Coleridge, Nebraska, to Elvin and Katie Bayne on August 10, 1927. He attended Nebraska School for the Deaf in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated in 1948. Shortly after, he became employed as a printer at Pender, Nebraska, and then moved to Sioux City, Iowa in 1956 to be employed at the Sioux City Journal. In August 1960, he met his wife in Mankato, MN, and married her on May 20, 1961.They resided in Sioux City and had two children, Marcia and Gary. Gordon lost his job at Sioux City Journal in 1972 due to new ownership. He was employed at St. Paul Pioneer Press until his retirement in Dec 1991, and he moved with his family to White Bear Lake in 1973. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and community.

Preceded by father, Elvin and mother, Katie Bayne of Sioux City, Iowa; brother, Kenneth, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Bayne of Decatur, Georgia; and brother-in-law, Richard Isaacson of Greensboro, North Carolina.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Marlene of St. Paul; daughter, Marcia Frazer (Edward) of Centerville, MN; son, Gary Bayne of Little Canada, MN; sister, Beverly Isaacson of Greensboro, North Carolina; step-granddaughter, Nora Bubp (Clayton) of Kemah, Texas, and 2 step great grandsons, Bren and Brayton; along with many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of Life to be held at 11AM, on Friday, June 10, at Bradshaw (1078 Rice St., St. Paul, MN 55406). Family and friends may visit one hour prior. Luncheon to follow after the service.

Gordon was a Member of the Nebraska School for the Deaf Alumni and Minnesota Deaf Senior Citizens.
