Florence Anne Walloch, age 77, of Crofton, Nebraska died on Friday, February 07, 2020 at her residence.
A prayer service will be held on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton, Nebraska with the Rev. Michael Schmitz officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton.
Florence Anne Walloch was born on February 21, 1942 in Lesterville, SD to Frank A. and Agnes (Sudrla) Walloch. She was baptized at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Tabor, SD and grew up on a farm near Lesterville. She graduated from Scotland High School and then went to Nursing School in Minnesota where she graduated in 1963. Florence worked at Children’s Hospital in St. Paul, MN and in Denver, CO. She traveled with the Red Cross for 20+ years and upon her retirement she moved to Crofton, Nebraska to be closer to family.
Florence loved coffee, bowling, and playing New York rummy with family. She made afghans and crocheted ornaments, doylies and many other beautiful items. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling with her close friend, Jackie McEiver, to Europe, Greece and places in the United States.
Florence is survived by her brother James (Mary) Walloch of Yankton, SD; sister-in-law Sandra Walloch of Lady Lake, FL; seven nieces Jeanne (Pat) Frady of Norfolk, Deborah Monaghan of Yankton, SD, Barbara (Wilmer) Kuehler of Crofton, Renee (Tony) Hochhalter of Scotland, SD, Theresa Seling of Isaquah, WA, Annette Seling of Ottawa, Ontario, Andrea (Tim) Messer of Charlottesville, VA; three nephews Don (Kelly) Walloch Jr. of Eatonton, GA, Justin (Jamie) Walloch of Fayetteville, GA, Nick Walloch of Atlanta, GA; 14 great nieces and nephews; six great great nieces and nephews.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents Frank & Agnes Walloch; a brother Donald Walloch; a sister Marie Seling, brother-in-law Jess Seling, and one great nephew.
