Ed enjoyed the farming life very much.  He loved to go to cattle sales, drive red tractors, watch his crops come up and grow, and working alongside his boys.  He looked forward to any time he could spend with his grandchildren as they were the light of his life.  He had a good sense of humor and loved making people laugh.  He was known by neighbors as the one to call when they needed a hand.  Eddie enjoyed having kids come to the farm to ride horses, feed baby calves, and ride tractors.  He belonged to the Union Presbyterian Church in Belden. Ed is survived by his wife Kathie of Belden; three children Anne (Eric) Swanson of Norfolk, Mark (Julia) Keifer of Belden, Matt (Nichole) Keifer of Belden; two grandchildren Gus and Ellie Keifer, four step-grandchildren; three siblings Louanne (Gene) Cook of Lincoln, Lorene (Dennis) Krei of Waverly, NE, Kerry (Jeanne) Keifer of Belden; several nieces and nephews.
