Earl Julius Tramp, age 90, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Saturday, July 13, 2019, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota with Reverend Gary Kimm officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Jason Klausen, Jeramy Klausen, Joshua Klausen, Larry Sees, Paul Sees, and Ron Brodersen.
Earl Julius Tramp was born March 28, 1929 in Fordyce, Nebraska to Julius and Edith Mae (Eckhardt) Tramp. When Earl was very young his family moved to Wausa, Nebraska where he attended school through the 8th grade. He then attended Crofton High School, graduating in 1948. He married Dolores Walter on December 6, 1958 in Yankton. After their marriage they moved to a farm north of Yankton in the Mayfield area, where Earl continued to farm until moving into Yankton in the early 2000’s.
Earl enjoyed black powder shooting and traveling with Dolores, especially on their bus tours all over the country. Earl loved the farm and enjoyed visiting the Sees family, who farmed for him after his retirement.
Survivors include his 2 nieces, Linda (Roger) Klausen of Laurel, Nebraska and Robin Walter of Crofton, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dolores on December 17, 2015; brother-in-law, Delmar Walter; an infant brother and two nephews: Delmar Walter Jr. and Delwin Walter.
