Duane L. List, age 61, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at the Good Samaritan Society in Lennox, South Dakota. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM on Monday, February 5, 2018, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Yankton, South Dakota with Reverend Greg Lehr and Reverend David Gunderson officiating. Burial will be in Martinus Lutheran Cemetery in rural Utica, South Dakota. Visitation is from 1:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with a prayer service at 3:00 PM. Pallbearers are: Andy List, Jeb List, Tyson Jorgensen, Ben Easton, Austin Schneider, and Matt Compson. Duane L. List was born June 23, 1956, in Yankton, South Dakota to Ernest and Peggy (Remington) List. Duane was born with polio but he never let it get the best of him. He graduated from Yankton High School in 1975 and then attended Southwest Minnesota State University and later graduated from Southeast Technical Institute with a degree in computer programming. He married Vickie Schneider on August 10, 1991 in Salem, South Dakota. They moved to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Duane worked for Gateway, First Data Resources and lastly at Wells Fargo. Duane loved music and enjoyed DJ’ing at weddings with Vickie. He enjoyed watching old westerns but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his kids and grandkids. Survivors include his wife, Vickie List of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two children: Adam (Ashley) List of Salem, South Dakota and Alison List of Sioux Falls; two grandchildren: Myles and Paetyn List; two sisters: Carol (Charles) Olson of Grand Island, Nebraska and Marilyn Jorgensen of Coleridge, Nebraska; three brothers: Terry (JoAnn) List, Kevin (Sheri) List and Richard (Dawn) List all of Yankton; and many nieces and nephews.
