Duane A. Dirks

Duane A. Dirks, age 83 of Fontana, California and formerly of Coleridge, Nebraska died on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at his home in Fontana, CA. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge with the Rev. Russ Lambert officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday morning, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge. Duane was born in Coleridge, Nebraska on July 24, 1934 and married Yvonne Olsen also of Coleridge on August 28, 1955. They settled in Fontana in 1962. They were married for nearly 60 years when Yvonne passed in 2013. Duane and Yvonne were blessed to be surrounded throughout their lives with loving family, great friends and wonderful neighbors. Duane is survived by his children, daughter Debbie (Dirks) & Mark Barber of Gilbert, Arizona; son Dean and Stephanie Dirks of Redlands, California; his grandchildren, Ryan and (Meghan) Barber of Queen Creek, Arizona, Morgan and Rylee Dirks of Redlands, California; his great-grandson, Memphis Barber of Queen Creek, Arizona; his sister and brother-in-law Barbara (Dirks) & Bill Greiner; Brother-in-law and sister-in-law Sylvan & Linda Olsen of Coleridge, Nebraska and many nieces and nephews.
