Dorothy Ann Bresaw, age 75, of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospice in Yankton.
Funeral services are 10:30 AM, on Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Reverend Jeff Otterman officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Tim Jensen, Roger Lamp, Dillon Logue, Justin Logue, Casey Weisser and Larry Weisser.
Dorothy was born July 27, 1943 in Yankton, South Dakota to Egon and Violet (Peterson) Jensen. She grew up on a farm near Irene, South Dakota and graduated from Irene High School. Dorothy then moved into Irene and worked 10 years at Vishay Dale Electronics in Yankton. On October 2, 1964, she married Howard Bresaw at Salem Lutheran Church in rural Irene. They lived in Irene until 1969 and then moved to Vermillion, South Dakota. In 1986, Howard and Dorothy moved to Yankton. Dorothy enjoyed doing crafts, making jewelry and crocheting. She made many quilts that are cherished by her family. Dorothy also enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.
Dorothy is survived by her husband, Howard Bresaw of Yankton; brother, Gerald Jensen of Irene; sister-in-law, Judy Jensen of Irene; a nephew and five nieces.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Duane Jensen; and sister-in-law, Sandra Jensen.
