Donna M. Heimes

Donna M. Heimes, age 59 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at her residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Jim Keiter and Rev. Eric Olsen officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Sunday, at church, from 2-5:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3:30 p.m. Visitation will continue on Monday one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Pallbearers are Bill Heimes, Dean Folkers, Scott Loecker, Craig Rupiper, Chad Burbach, Bryan Thoene, Bob Heimes, Ryan Folkers, Jeff Loecker, Ron Loecker, Robb Burbach, and Nathan Arens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donna’s nieces Angie Folkers Luther, Janell Heimes Wortmann, Jane Heimes Sayler, Mary Heimes, Leslie Rupiper Morrow, Carmen Burbach Strecker, Teresa Arens Eckmann, Mandy Arens Clark, Brenda Thoene, and special friend Sharon Larson. Donna M. Heimes was born January 12, 1959, in Crofton, NE to Damian and Helena Arens. She attended school in Bow Valley and Wynot, NE. She married Daniel A. Heimes on July 31, 1977 in Bow Valley, NE where they farmed side by side and raised their children. Donna worked outside the home at Dale Electronics, Golden Living Center, Pine Dale Assisted Living, Pizza Hut, Hartington Telemarketing until she was disabled in 2007. Donna enjoyed working on her flowers & gardening in her raised flower beds, playing cards, watching birds, camping, going for a drive and spending time with family. Donna is survived by her husband Danny of Hartington; three children: Jennifer (Tom) Kobza of Billings, MT; Jessica (Matt) Peddie of Shawnee, KS; Jonathan Heimes (Tyler Olsen) of Yankton, SD; mother Helen Arens of Hartington, sister Joan Arens of Omaha, NE; sister-in-law Mary Lynn Arens of Bow Valley, NE; brother-in-law Greg Johnson of Verdigre, NE; brother-in-law Danny Thoene, brother-in-law LaVerle Heimes of Hartington, NE, sister-in-law Connie (Alan) Folkers of Hartington, NE; Sheila (Allen) Loecker of Mitchell, SD; Kathy (Clair) Rupiper of Fordyce, NE, Jeanne (Lyle) Burbach of Springfield, MO; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her children Heather Marie (1983), Christopher John (1985), miscarriage (1986), her father, Damian Arens (1999); sister Dolores Johnson (2007); brother Charles Arens (2016), brother Ronald Arens on (2016); sister Bette Hamilton (2016); brother Roger Arens (2016), Norma Thoene (2017), father-in-law, Leonard Heimes (1985), mother-in-law Teresa Heimes (2010), sister-in-law, Caroline Ann (Karen) Heimes (2010).
