Donald F. Eickhoff

Donald F. Eickhoff, age 85 of Grand Prairie, Texas died on Friday, February 22, 2019 in Arlington, Texas. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 6th, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fordyce, Nebraska with Reverend Jim Keiter and Reverend Matthew Eickhoff officiating. Burial will be in the St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Fordyce. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Donald was born on January 31, 1934 at Beaver Creek, Nebraska to Frank and Martha (Walz) Eickhoff. He graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington in 1954. After attending barber school in Omaha, NE, he worked in Homer, NE, Yankton, SD, and Vermillion, SD, before moving to Santa Ana, CA, where he started working for AirCal. When AirCal was acquired by American Airlines, Donald spent the rest of his career with American Airlines at Oakland, CA, Raleigh, NC, and finally in Dallas, TX where he retired. Donald is survived by 3 brothers and their spouses, Harold & Betty Eickhoff of Hartington, NE, Larry & Joan Eickhoff of Omaha, NE, and Charles and Suellen Eickhoff of Nebraska City, NE. He is also survived by sisters-in-law Alice Eickhoff of Roseville, CA and Della Eickhoff of Fordyce, NE, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Robert, Daniel and Edward Eickhoff.
