Dennis Kent Bottolfsen

Dennis Kent Bottolfsen age 76 of Hartington, Nebraska was found at his residence on Sunday, June 26, 2022. No local funeral services are being planned at this time.  His cremated remains will be buried at the Omaha National Cemetery in Omaha, NE.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Dennis Kent was born on November 28, 1945 in Hartington to Charles Kenneth and Esther (Klanderud) Bottolfsen.  He grew up the Hartington and graduated from Hartington High School.  Dennis served in the U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War.  After he was honorably discharged he returned to Hartington and then moved to Sioux City, Iowa where he worked at a Meat Packing Plant.  After his mother Esther died Dennis moved to Hartington in 2007 into his mother’s home where he lived until his death. Dennis was a collector of many things.  He was a simple yet complicated man that always had a good story or joke to tell.  Dennis was loved by his family and his nieces and nephews, and many cousins. Dennis is survived by his brother Gary Bottolfsen of Hartington; two sisters Arlis Burney of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Connie Loftus of Salix, Iowa; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Gene Bottolfsen; a brother-in-law Travis Burney; a niece Gail Hinkel, and nephew Charles (Chuck) Loftus.
