Dean Robert Lammers, age 67 of Hartington, Nebraska died suddenly on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD. He is the husband of Teresa, and father to Rachel, Megan, and Myles.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, Nebraska with the Rev. Jim Keiter officiating. Burial will be at Sts. Peter & Paul cemetery in Bow Valley. Visitation will be on Monday, at church, from 5-7:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Tuesday morning one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

 Pallbearers will be John Lammers, Craig Lammers, Bo Moysis, Weston Moysis, Wesley Wortmann, Tracy Lammers, Curtis Becker, and Roger Sudbeck.  Honorary pallbearers will be Dean’s grandchildren and great granddaughter.

  Dean Robert was born to Alfred Norbert and Loretta Christine (Loecker) Lammers. He grew up on the family farm four miles north of Bow Valley and lived there his entire life. He graduated from Hartington Cedar Catholic High School in 1975. Dean married Teresa Mae Goeden on September 1, 1979 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Menominee, NE. Dean farmed with his dad and raised livestock (hogs, cattle, chickens) and grain. He was a proud recipient of the 100 year Homestead award. Dean enjoyed taxidermy work for many years alongside his brother Daryl.

 Dean was a member of Holy Family (Sts. Peter & Paul) Catholic Church, loved hunting, fishing, and trapping. He especially enjoyed coyote hunting. Dean was a sports fan. In his younger years, before marriage, Dean played baseball for Bow Valley. He was an avid Husker fan and love watching games with family. He always seemed to have a Grandkid or two along with him to help on the farm, he treasured his time with them.

 Dean is survived by his wife Teresa of Hartington; his three children Rachel (Travis) Guenther of Bow Valley, Megan (Ryan) Marsh of Hartington, Myles (Miranda) Lammers of Hartington; five siblings Deanna (Clair) Sudbeck of Yankton, SD, Dale (Dolores) Lammers of Hartington, Daryl Lammers of Hartington, Terrance (Janice) Lammers of Bow Valley, Bonnie Jensen of Mission Hill, SD; sister-in-law Nancy Lammers of Omaha; many in-laws on Teresa’s side of the family. 

]He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Loretta Lammers; brother David Lammers, sister-in-law Joan Lammers; brother-in-law Randy Jensen.
