Crystal Jean Konfrst Crystal Jean Konfrst, of Yankton, South Dakota, passed away on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at her residence at Autumn Winds Assisted Living in Yankton under the care of Asera Care Hospice at the age of 54 years, 3 months and 10 days. Private services will be held at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with burial at the Rosebud Cemetery in Bonesteel, South Dakota. Crystal was born December 7, 1963 in Pierre, South Dakota to Jerry and Leona (Camin) Konfrst. She was born with Down’s syndrome and was raised by her mother. She grew up in Pierre and attended a few years of school. She helped her mother with many different jobs in the restaurant business and also cleaned rooms at several motels. They moved to Yankton in 2000 and she lived with her mother at Prairie Homes Assisted Living. Since Leona passed away in November 2011, Crystal was under the care of Steve and Carol Vande Kop. Crystal loved coloring, stuffed animals, music and dancing. Crystal is survived by her Prairie Homes and Autumn Winds family and was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Carolyn Nelson; and several aunts and uncles.
