Clinton Kaser, age 98, of Yankton, South Dakota died on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at Angelhaus East in Yankton.
Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Yankton with Reverend Thi Pham officiating. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, on Monday, October 7 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with a vigil service at 7:00 PM. Visitation also continues one hour prior the funeral at the church.
Pallbearers are Cole Koons, Carter Koons, Colby Soukup, Ethan Kaser, Arthur Duff and Bryan Duff.
Clint was born August 10, 1926 in Yankton, South Dakota to Peter and Barbara (Kaiser) Kaser. Clint grew up in Yankton where he attended Sacred Heart School for four years and then Gunderson School. Clint graduated from Yankton High School in 1944 and played the violin in the orchestra. After graduation, he farmed with his father north of Yankton. Clint married Dorothy Willis and to this union six children were born. They farmed south of Gayville, SD raising corn, soybeans and alfalfa. On September 24, 1994, Clint married Darlis (Stillman) Schoenfelder in Yankton. They continued farming together until they retired in 2008 and later moved to Yankton in 2010. Clint enjoyed retirement especially spending the winters in Arizona. He loved music and really enjoyed classical music and going to symphony concerts. Clint also loved ice cream which he enjoyed about every single day.
Clint is survived by his wife, Darlis Kaser of Yankton; six children: David (Dee) Kaser of Lincoln, NE, Susan Duff (Chris Lefrois) of Eagle, NE, Mary (Curt) Greiser of Lincoln, Lori Kaser (Rueben) of Omaha, NE, John (Jennifer) Kaser of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Andrea (Bryan) Bopp of Kansas City, MO; many grandchildren; his sister, Grace Dunn of Bremerton, WA; sisters-in-law, Janice (Verne) Twittero of Wagner, SD and Doreen (Pat) Adams of Phoenix, AZ; brother-in-law, Merlin (Sharon) Stillman of Sioux Falls, SD; and many nieces and nephews.
Clint was preceded in death by his parents; sister and her husband, Betty and Joe Umberger; brother-in-law, William Dunn; and sister-in-law and her husband, Marilyn and Jim Pietz.
