Cindy S. Suing

Cindy S. Suing, age 56 of Laurel, Nebraska died on Tuesday, December 04, 2018 at the Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Memorial Services will be on Monday, December 10, 2018 at 10:30 am at the United Lutheran Church in Laurel with Rev. Matthew Quanbeck officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Laurel. Cindy was born on August 12, 1962 in West Point, Nebraska to Roland David and Lavonne Faye (Laase) Slagle. She was baptized and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point where she grew up. She graduated from West Point High School in 1980. She attended Wayne State College for 1 year and worked in numerous restaurants around the area including the Corner Café in Laurel. She married Chuck Suing on June 2, 1995 in Laurel. Some of Cindy’s favorite pastimes over the years included tending to her gardens, her numerous flowers she always had planted and her house plants. Cindy loved being outdoors. Cindy cherished her grandchildren. She also had an extra special place in her heart for animals, especially cats and her beloved dog “Bentley” who will also miss her dearly. Cindy is survived by her husband, Chuck of Laurel; 2 children, Britney and Josh Hart of Laurel, Chet and Katie Suing of Laurel; 3 grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Hunter Hart; parents, Roland and Lavonne Slagle of Laurel; 4 stepsons, Zachary Suing of Pender, NE, Justin Suing of Allen, NE, Timothy (Alea) Suing of Sioux City, IA, Shawn and Sheena Suing of Allen, NE; 4 step grandchildren; a brother, Mike (Julie) Slagle of Osmond, NE; parents-in-law, Hank and Georgine Suing of St. Helena, NE; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents; 4 brothers, Gale, Dan, Gerald and Jim Slagle, and infant grandson Wyatt Hart. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
