Charles S. Evers

Charles S. Evers, age 79 of Dell Rapids, SD died on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at the Dells Nursing and Rehab Center in Dell Rapids, SD Graveside services will be held on Thursday, July 22, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans State Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington, NE. Charles was born on June 9, 1942 in Wayne, Nebraska to Earl Arthur and Augusta J. (Lowther) Evers.  He graduated from Allen High School in Allen, NE in 1960.  Charles served in the U.S. Army. He did various farm related work and later in his retirement years did restaurant work. He is survived by his brother Lynne Evers; sister Patricia (Maynard) Hansen of Dell Rapids, SD; brother Lynne Evers of Vermillion, SD; uncle Willard Holdorf; church friend Steve Berberich. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Augusta Evers; sister Phyllis Ambroz.
