Cecil Charles Hintz

Cecil Charles Hintz, age 50 of Belden, Nebraska died on Tuesday, March 01, 2022 at his residence surrounded by family after a battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. at the Belden Library in Belden, Nebraska.  Burial of his cremated remains will be at the Belden cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Cecil Charles was born on June 1, 1971 in Scott City, Kansas to Kenneth Earl and Juanita Eileen Mae (Phillips) Hintz.  He grew up in Scott City, KS and lived there until 1988 when he moved to Belden, Nebraska.  Cecil moved to Belden, Nebraska in 1988 and then returned to Scott City, KS.  He worked as an independent contractor and worked for 25 years as a flooring installer.  Cecil lived in several other cities before moving to Norfolk and then back to Belden in January 2021. Cecil is survived by his parents Kenneth and Cheri Hintz of Belden, NE; sister Sandy Weaver of Scott City, KS; step-sister Lorinda Hille & Matt Held of Norfolk; brother Jason Enderton of Leoti, KS; step-brother Layne (Niki) Stark of Lincoln; niece Saundra Weaver & Josh Dirks of Scott City, KS; step-niece Jade (Ryan) Olson of Lincoln; step-niece Jordon Stark & Stephen Drefs of Omaha, step-niece Briann Held of Norfolk, NE; step-nephews Tristan Hille of Norfolk, Dominick Stark & friend Jamie Knapp of Omaha, Preston Held of Norfolk; great niece Kayleen Bradford & Kayson Summers of Scott City, KS, great step-niece McKinley Stark of Omaha; many other family, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother Juanita Phillips Carpenter; both sets of grandparents Cecil (Mabel) Phillips, Charles (Lois) Hintz; step-grandparents Kermit (Lois) Graf; three uncles Chuck, Leroy, and Butch Hintz; step-uncle Terry Graf; two cousins David Grund, Brandon Phillips; fiance Shari Long; friends Jimmy Wessel and Todd MacDonnell.
