Antonina "Nina" Christianson

Antonina “Nina” Christianson, age 71, of Yankton, South Dakota, died on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

A private family service will be held at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton.

Antonina was born on January 8, 1953, in Ames, Iowa, to Francisco Arneldo and Naomi Bernadine (Brown) Faro. She graduated high school while always working her hardest at anything and all that she did in life. Antonina married Glen Christianson on March 2, 1985 in Magnolia, Iowa. She later became an CNA (Certified Nurses Aid) and Home Health Care Provider, which she did for at least 40 years. She absolutely loved taking care of and loving others. She was a dedicated and loving wife to her husband and devoted mother to her children Jeannette and Jolene.

Antonina was a strong, devoted Christian woman who spent every morning in her Bible and with God. The only day you wouldn’t see her working was on Sundays.

Antonina is survived by her husband, Glen; daughters, Jeanette M. King and Jolene (Jace) Jenne; step-son, Greg (Tracey) Mitchell; step-daughter, Carmen (Isaac) Hernandez; 15 grandchildren; sister, Susan Rowley; brother, Frank Faro and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
