Amy Lynn Fox

Amy Lynn, Fox, age 53, of Yankton, South Dakota, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, South Dakota.

A memorial service will be 3:00 PM on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota.  Burial will be in the new Chapel Columbarium in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton, South Dakota.  The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home.

Amy Lynn Fox was born May 17, 1970, in Yankton, South Dakota, to Michael Hevle and Linda Bruner.  She grew up in Lake Andes, South Dakota and later moved to Yankton, South Dakota and graduated from Yankton High School in 1988.  She then attended USD for a few years, pursuing her social work degree.  She worked at the Super 8 in Yankton for a few years and then in customer service for First National Bank Card Center in Yankton.  She married Brian Fox on September 16, 2006 in Yankton.

Amy loved playing pool with “The Girls” and riding motorcycles with her husband.  She was always there for everyone and ready to listen and provide a shoulder to cry on.  She especially loved her fur babies: Foxy, Gizmo, Sally and Trigger.

Survivors include her husband, Brian Fox of Yankton, South Dakota; daughter, Shelby (Coty) Alverson of Trempealeau, Wisconsin; three grandsons: Wesley, Grady and Bodey; grandparents, Ed and Betty Bruner of Lake Andes, South Dakota; sister, Sara (Wayne Lentsch) Hevle of Sioux Falls; two brothers: Josh Bruner of Sioux Falls and David Hevle of Rapid City, South Dakota; in-laws, Dick and Linda Fox of Yankton; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Missy Hevle; mother-in-law, Sandie Fox and grandparents, Orlien and Mary Hevle.
