Judith Willms age 78 of Omaha, Nebraska and formerly of Coleridge, Nebraska died at her residence under Hospice Care on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 in Omaha.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Coleridge with the Rev. Debra Valentine officiating. Burial will be at the Coleridge City Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday one hour prior to services at Wintz Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Haws, Tiffany Sauer, Clark Willms, Emily Wynn, Tony Ahmed.
Judith Arlene Willms was born on August 23, 1936 to Ernest and Alice (Strivens) Willms in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Coleridge High School. After her graduation from the University of Michigan she worked in finance in Chicago, San Francisco, and New York. Judith worked several years in Omaha and also taught at Metropolitan Community College there. She loved to travel and made several trips to European destinations. She went on an African photo safari, and spent several months living in the Seychelles Islands. Judith spent her retirement years in Omaha. She was an avid reader and had a keen interest in politics on all levels.
She is survived by her sister, Jean Haws of Houston, Texas; her brother Neal and his wife Sharyn Willms of Omaha; and nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents Ernie and Alice Willms.
