Timothy M. Tweedy, age 48 of Yankton, South Dakota, died unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at his residence.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with the Rev. Timothy Podraza officiating. Burial of his cremated remains will be at the St. Rose of Lima cemetery in Crofton. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton, NE. Visitation will continue with family on Monday one hour prior to services.

Timothy Michael Tweedy was born on December 5, 1969 in Omaha, Nebraska to Richard Earl and Kathleen Ann (Smith) Tweedy. He attended St. Rose Elementary School and graduated from Crofton High School in 1988. Tim worked for Kevin Ankeny Construction for the past 20 years. Prior to that he had worked for Franny Schieffer Construction, Murray Plumbing, and Gurney's.

Tim liked to fish, was an avid Pittsburg Steeler and Nebraska Cornhusker fan. He loved to play with his nieces and nephews.

Tim is survived by his parents, Richard and Kathleen Tweedy of Crofton; 14 brothers and sisters and spouses, Rich (Sue Lee) Tweedy of Omaha, NE, Ray (Michele) Tweedy of Yankton, SD, Scott (Kay) Tweedy of Castle Rock, CO, Colleen Terveer of Phoenix, AZ, Deanna (Calvin) Schulte of Wynot, NE, John (Lori) Tweedy of Highland Ranch, CO, Jim (Ivet) Tweedy of Elkton, MD, Larry (Robyn) Tweedy of Pierce, NE, Steve (Stacey) Tweedy of Gendale, AZ, Dale Tweedy of Kearney, NE, Tom (Amy) Tweedy of Oceanside, CA, Jenny (Cody) Fuks of Blaine, WA, Christina (Nate) Hebeisen of N. Mankato, MN, and Joe Tweedy & (Katie Pennell) of Minneapolis, MN; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Tim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Paul & Erma Smith; paternal grandparents Ernest A. and Lola Maxine Tweedy; aunts Rita Carbonell and Mary Clare Smith; uncle Ray Tweedy, and aunt Lois Groseto.
