Mathilda Ann Suing, age 84 of Hartington, Nebraska, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Hartington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 1:30 pm at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with Rev. Jeffery Loseke officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington and will begin one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
Pallbearers will be Gary Suing, Ron Suing, Duane Suing, Joe Miller, Roger Kock and Francis Kock.
Mathilda was born on June 19, 1929 at Fordyce, Nebraska to Zeno and Mathilda (Schmidt) Suing. She grew up in the Hartington and Fordyce area and graduated from Holy Trinity High School in Hartington. She lived in Sioux City, Omaha and Denver where she did clerical work for several insurance companies. She moved to the Golden Living Community in February of 2008. Mathilda loved swans, reading and the color pink. Her faith was very important to her and she made several trips to Rome to see the Pope.
Mathilda is survived by 2 sisters, Lorine Miller of Sioux City, Iowa, Clara Yeaton of Dover, New Hampshire; a brother-in-law, Laurel Kock of Des Moines, Iowa; 3 sisters-in-law, Viola Suing of Hartington; Alice Suing of Norfolk, Nebraska and Lina Suing of Sioux Falls, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a twin sister, Mary Ann Cisney, 5 sisters, Elizabeth Suing, Helen Suing, Madeline Cisney, Gertrude Laux, Catherine Kock, 4 brothers, James, Jerome, John and Dan Suing,
