Marilyn Kay Sage, age 63 of Crofton, Nebraska, died on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at her residence.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, July 23, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Lindy, Nebraska with the Rev. Tom Jacobson officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be at a later date in the Bloomfield Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 3:30 pm at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am on Monday at the church.

Pallbearers will be Ed Sage, Dustin Sage, Steven Sage, Joel Tramp, Karl Barfuss and James Krier.

Marilyn was born on January 29, 1955 in Hurley, SD to Arnold Eli and Clara Margaret (Deelstra) Wollman. She grew up on a farm near Hurley and graduated from Hurley High School in 1973. Marilyn married Jim Sage on September 6, 1986 in Lincoln, Nebraska. They made their home on a farm northwest of Crofton where Marilyn did all the farrowing of the pigs and bottle fed the calves. They moved into Crofton in 2005. She received an Associate Degree in Medical Coding and Transcription at Southeast Technical School in Sioux Falls in 2002. She then worked in the medical record department at the Sanford Hospital in Vermillion for 11 years. Marilyn was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and loved being with her family and grandkids.

Marilyn is survived by her husband, Jim Sage of Crofton; 6 children and their spouses, Ed and Tina Sage of Crofton; Lanna and Joel Tramp of Yankton, SD; Dustin and Amber Lee Sage of Pilger, NE; Amanda and Karl Barfuss of Norfolk, NE; Rachel and James Krier of Sioux Falls, SD; Steven Sage of Wayne, NE; 13 grandchildren, her mother, Clara Wollman of Sioux Falls, SD; 2 sisters, Debra and Lee Washington of Sioux Falls, SD; Judy and Dean Sturzenbecher of Parker, SD; a brother, Al and Gail Deelstra of Sioux Falls, SD; a brother-in-law, John Bajelan of Kearney, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Arnold Wollman and a sister, Paula Bajelan.
