Nancy M. Lewon age 82 of Coleridge, Nebraska and formerly of Randolph, NE died on Monday, January 06, 2014 at Parkview Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge.

Memorial Services will be on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Randolph with Pastor Lauren Rudolph officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be at the Hartington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to services. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington, NE.

Nancy Muriel Lewon was born on November 13, 1931 in Hartington, NE to Rolland and Marie (Armstrong) Heckert. She grew up in Hartington and graduated from Hartington High School. Nancy married Merlin Ray Lewon on June 14, 1950 in Hartington. She and Merlin lived in Randolph. Merlin died on May 13, 2010 at the age of 78 years. Nancy had been a resident of Parkview Haven Nursing Home since April of 2010.

Nancy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Randolph. She loved riding horses in her younger years and also camping. She enjoyed her children and grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her five children and their spouses- Steve Lewon of Sioux City, IA, Dave and Beth Lewon of Lincoln, NE, Brian and Val Lewon of Randolph, NE, Mike Lewon of Randolph, NE, Becky and Ed Wattier of Osmond, NE; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Merlin; sister Cynthia Gamble; and three brothers Robert, Ralph and Raymond Heckert.
