Odelia M. Langferman, age 91 of Yankton, South Dakota and formerly from Crofton, Nebraska, died on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at the Avera Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 10:30 am at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Crofton with Rev. Timothy Lange officiating. Burial will be in the St. Rose of Lima Cemetery in Crofton. Visitation will be on Thursday from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Vigil Service at 7:00 pm at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton. Visitation will begin one hour prior to services on Friday at the Church.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Potts, Dale Guenther, Gene Guenther, Ken Guenther, Gary Guenther and Arlen Biernbaum.

Honorary Pallbearers will be her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Odelia was born on September 17, 1924 at Fordyce, Nebraska to Conrad and Marie (Jensen) Luft. She grew up in the Constance area and married Frank L Langferman on October 21, 1947 at Constance. They farmed in the Crofton area and Odelia also worked for Gerry Becker at the Crofton Drive-In for 8 years. They moved into Crofton in 1981 and to Yankton in January of 2007.

Odelia was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, the Guild and the Christian Mothers. She enjoyed crocheting, playing cards, gardening and tending to her flowers. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Odelia is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Lou and Ray Avenell of Aten, Nebraska; Linda Tramp of Yankton; 3 grandchildren, Wendy Loecker of Phoenix, AZ; Jerry and Angela Swensen of Tigard, Or; Craig and Kristen Swensen of Sioux Falls, SD; 6 great grandchildren, Tyler & Kyle of Vermillion, SD, Lexy & Tanner Loecker of Yankton, SD, Kate and Jack Swensen of Tigard, OR; a sister, Rita Kessler of Randolph, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Frank, on June 6, 2009 at the age of 93, a son-in-law Vince Tramp: a brother, Leon Luft; a sister, Madeline Guenther; and a brother-in-law, Ed Kessler.
