MARCIA & BOB RISSLER

Will sure miss playing sheephead with him at the family reunions. He loved to beat us...and take our nickels...He had a great laugh too...I enjoyed being in classes with him....if no one knew the answer he would come up with it. I thought he was so smart....Sometimes we lose connections with our classmates but because he married my cousin Lynne, we were able to be together a couple times a year. Our sympathy to the family.

My sympathies to the family-- I remember Dan from high school --he was always so much fun-- used to ride the school bus with us also--also we lived in Minneapolis when he first worked there and saw him a few times there-wish I had known him in his later years- bet he was still a lot of fun--

So sorry about the loss of your husband. It has been many years since I have talked to you Lynne but I remember taking care of your Mom and I still think about her. My sympathy to you at this difficult time.

Jean Uhing Merchen

Dan was one of my business partners for more than a decade though I knew him for many years before that. He always seemed to enjoy what he was doing at the moment. If one needed assistance, he was there, if one was joking around, he was there. He had a way about him that would smooth over the rough spots in business that happen and many times came up with great ideas to solve them. One time when I was very sick and out of the office for more than four months, he took care of my clients like they were his own. When I tried to reimburse him, he adamantly refused and said that's that what partners do for each other. Dan was a great person and will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers go out to Lynne, Jeff, other family members and friends.

Sorry for the loss of your husband. I've known Dan for many years from my brother Terry, fish fries, coming to Castana, playing cards, and recent fishing trips up north. Dan will be missed by many and was a very entertaining and fun person to be around.

My condolences to everyone who loved him, my thoughts are with you all. I didn't know a lot about him, but reading this makes me wish I could have known him better. He was always friendly every time I saw him, and I dedicate the next fish I catch to him, may he rest in peace.

My Deepest Sympathy. I have such fond memories of Danny when I was at home on the farm. I recall when I was in high school and struggling with a math class. Danny came for dinner several nights and became my tutor! When Danny walked into a room everyone had a good time! I am sad to think he is no longer with us. He will be missed.
