Patricia was born on February 27, 1939, to Joseph E. Vyhlidal and Cora A. Heller Vyhlidal of Pierce, Nebraska, and was baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph Church in Pierce. She married Louis Richard Herbolsheimer on July 2, 1957, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Pierce. Pat and Louie moved to Hartington in 1965 with Louie's transfer to Carhart Lumber.
Pat was, first and foremost, a loving wife and homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Esther Circle, and many, many Bible study groups. Pat helped with Sunday school, summer Bible school, the Children's Choir, sewed nativity costumes, made Love Day quilts, enjoyed bible study, and made lemon meringue and coconut cream pies for the Cedar county fair stand. She enjoyed her volunteer work on the Hartington Library Board and registering voters for elections. Pat worked at Carhart Lumber with Louie as the bookkeeper for twelve years, until their retirement in September 1999.
Pat glorifed her Father while here on earth, finished her labors for a kingdom of love, and entered eternal life on July 1, 2017.
Pat is survived by her husband, Louis, daughters Tammi (Steve) Sufficool, Lincoln and their daughter, Dr. Kari Sufficool, and her husband, Dr. Adam Littich, and their son, Alexander, St. Louis, Missouri; daughter Julie (Anthony) Kuchta, Omaha, and their daughter and husband, Megan and Kyle Christensen and their children Stella, Graham, and Clara, their son, Anthony Kuchta, Omaha, Nebraska; daughter Dr. Susan Feilmeier, Hartington, and friend, Steve Weber, Beresford, South Dakota, Emily and Sam Feilmeier of Hartington; daughter Jill (Dr. Mark) Dietrich, their daughters, Cora and Louise, Omaha, Nebraska; brother, Arthur Vyhlidal and wife Judy of Randolph.
Pat joins saints that have gone before her including her parents, brothers Joseph Vyhlidal, Bernard Vyhlidal, Dale Vyhlidal, sisters Sophie Eldhart, Jean Jenkins and granddaughter, Erin Sufficool.
We will come together today in the peace of Christ to mourn because we are Christian, to thank the Father for the gift of her life, to celebrate the power of the resurrection of Jesus, and to sing our alleluias of hope because we are Easter people in life and in death. Pat requested that you honor her by caring for others and telling the ones close to you how much you love them!

Jill and Sue - I was so sorry to hear about your mom. I will always remember her in the stands supporting you at all of your activities. I got to have lunch with your mom and dad at Lee Rose's funeral. Even then she gushed about both of you and your successes and your children. She was definitely proud mom and grandma. Thinking of you in this difficult time.
