Mary "Evy" Gall, age 90, of Yankton, South Dakota, died Saturday, April 15, 2017, at her home in Yankton.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with Pastor Nicholas Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are John K. Gall and Jordan Roepke.
Mary "Evy" Gall was born April 2, 1927, in Illinois to James and Thelma (Dunlap) Raddish. She grew up and attended school near Nobel, Illinois. She married John Kitsman in Illinois and worked different jobs throughout her life including in a defense plant in Rock Island, Illinois during World War II, in a screen factory, and as a caregiver in nursing homes and hospitals. Evy married Martin Gall in Yankton, South Dakota and continued to live in Yankton the rest of her life.
Evy enjoyed gardening, canning, baking, fishing and her birds. She was a very loving, caring and hard working woman. She cared for many people during her life including her parents and in-laws and was always willing to serve her church and others. Evy was a very active member of the Seventh-day Adventists in Yankton and was instrumental in their Yankton Fruit Program. She had a deep love for the Lord and was an inspiration to many.
Survivors include her husband, Martin Gall of Yankton; son, John (Jolene) Gall of Norfolk, Nebraska; two grandsons, John K. Gall of Waverly, Nebraska and Jordan Roepke of Norfolk; six great grandchildren; two sister Wanda and Delores; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father; husband, John; and two sisters.
