Chalmer Clarence Foulk age 96 of Hartington, Nebraska died on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Golden Living Center in Hartington.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday March 31, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Hartington with the Rev. Jeffery Loseke officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Hartington. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-4:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 3:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington. Visitation will continue on Monday at church one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers will be Dan Kathol, V.E. Rossiter Jr, Jerry Dendinger, Bill Yates, Butch Backman and LeRoy Beste.
Chalmer Clarence Foulk was born on March 1, 1918 in Hartington, NE to Andrew Samuel and Anna Margaret (Backman) Foulk. Chalmer married Irene L. Korff on January 17, 1939 in Hartington. He lived in Hartington all his life except when he and Irene lived in Denver, Colorado from 1962-1982 where he worked as a service manager for Budget Rent A Car. Chalmer also worked on farms and service stations in Hartington.
Chalmer was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and was in the National Guard for three years until being honorably discharged on October 13, 1938.
Chalmer is survived by his wife, Irene of Hartington; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters Blanche Burns, Dolores (Mrs. Harvey) Summers and Donna Stevens.
