Anna Belle Andersen, age 91 of Harrison, Nebraska and formerly of Hartington, NE went home to be with the Lord on June 3, 2016 in Mitchell, NE at the Mitchell Care Center.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gospel Chapel in Newcastle, Nebraska with the Rev. Charles E. Myers officiating. Burial will be at the Obert Cemetery in Obert, NE. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 5-8:00 p.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons - Aaron Bensen, Eldon Bensen, Beau Bensen, Lee Andersen, Clay Andersen, great grandsons A.J. Hutchings, and Kaleb White.

Anna Belle Andersen, daughter of Lloyd and Jetta Eda (Strivens) Domina was born on May 8, 1925 in Pleasant Valley, NE. She grew up in the Hartington area and graduated from Hartington Public High School in 1943. She then received her teaching certificate from Wayne Normal School and went on to teach at various country schools in Cedar County.

Anna Belle married Merlin Andersen on March 26, 1946 in Hartington. They farmed east of Hartington. After Merlin died, she worked as a dispatcher for the Cedar County Sheriff and worked at Hartington Telemarketing. She moved to Hartington in 1990, Newcastle in 2005, Harrison in 2012, and Mitchell Care Center in March of 2016. Anna Belle was a member of Baptist Church in Obert, was a member of Gospel Chapel in Newcastle, and while living in Harrison, she attended the Harrison Bible Church. She enjoyed spending her time sewing, quilting, cooking and being with family.

Anna Belle is survived by her son Doyle (Patricia) Andersen of Harrison, NE; her daughter Vera Bensen of Newcastle, NE; 11 grandchildren: Clay, Lora, and Lee Andersen, Jessica Turbiville, Katie Olesen, Melissa Kneifl, Stacy Lund, Beau, Eldon, and Aaron Bensen, and Wendy Hutchings; 24 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Marvin (Jackie) Domina of Coleridge, NE, Alan (Karen) Domina of Lincoln, NE, 1 sister, Janet (Glen) Olson of Laurel, NE; sisters-in-law Betty Domina of Merrill, Michigan, Donnetta Domina of Dekalb, Illlinois; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Jetta (Eda) Domina, stepmother Vivian (Cressy) Hamblin Domina; husband Merlin Andersen; infant son Raymond; 3 brothers, Lyle (Don), Elmer, and Dean Domina; and her sister Margaret (Ilene) Warner; son-in-law Rod Bensen.
